I noticed I need my member number to access some services. Where do I find it?
If you've already received a copy of the California Real Estate magazine, look for your member number on the label. You can also look up your NRDS member number on the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS®' website.
How do I change my address in C.A.R. records?
Member records are collected and updated by the local boards/associations who then insert office codes and other local information before forwarding it to C.A.R. Call your local board/association with any changes. If you have additional questions about your membership information, contact C.A.R.'s Membership Department at (213) 739-8265 or email membership@car.org.
Why haven't I received my magazines?
C.A.R. probably does not have your new or updated record yet. Allow your local board/association 3-4 weeks to process your information after your orientation or change request, then 2-3 weeks for C.A.R. to process all the records each board sends. The new or corrected address will appear on the following month's printing of labels.
The Legal Section of car.org is for C.A.R. members only. What do I do when my password doesn't seem to work?
Access to the Legal Section is another benefit of your membership. Make sure that you are entering the correct member number. If you are unsure of your member number contact us via email.
