When I received this award, I was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude. This kind and generous donation is going to help support my children who are struggling to find hope and overcome the immense loss we are experiencing from this horrible tragedy. We lost everything and cannot possibly afford to replace our belongings – some of which cannot be replaced: baby books, childhood mementos, my daughter’s art, my son’s model train collection, mementos from grandparents who have passed. But with your help, we may be able to find some things that can offer my family a little peace and comfort. We are so grateful to C.A.R. for helping us and we are determined to pay this kindness forward.
